Canaan : Convience Store

Case Details:
At approximately 7:35 PM on January 24, 2010 the Canaan Police Department along with units from the Enfield Police Department and New Hampshire State Police responded to a 911 call reporting that an armed robbery had just occurred at the Canaan Food Mart located a the corner of Route 4 and Canaan Street. Initial investigation revealed that two white males armed with a firearm entered the store and ordered the female clerk to open cash register. They then took an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes before leaving the store. They got into a small white possible station wagon type vehicle and were last seen traveling east on Route 4. The first subject appeared to be approximately 5’8” and 200 lbs wearing a gray hooded style sweatshirt, blue jeans, and brown boots. The second subject appeared to be approximately 5’7” and 150 lbs wearing a white hooded jacket with dark blue strips that were in a checkered pattern. The inside of the hood appeared to be a light blue color. This incident is still under investigation.
