Theft - Case No. 090031
July 26, 2009
Portsmouth : Communication Company

Case Details:
During the early morning hours of July 26, 2009 a local Portsmouth Business had a large amount of copper spools and cable damaged in what appears to have been an attempted theft. The loss suffered by the victim was close to $5000. Surveillance video from the business shows a small pickup truck used by the suspects that night. It would appear to be a white, silver, or light blue pre-2000 Ford Ranger extended cab truck with a cap on the back. The cap itself has two windows on it with some sort of sign between them on the driver’s side. It is unknown if the passenger side has the same sign. The sign could be a business advertisement or a “For Sale” sign. There is also a metal structure that extends a short distance on top of the cap that could be used to hold a ladder.
